Colored Siding Trends in 2021

Nature-colored siding is a thing of the past. Instead, the most prominent emerging trend thus far in 2021 is colored siding. Having color attached to the outside of a home gives it pop and personality. Throughout the past decade, it was common for homeowners to choose white, gray, or a form of tan/brown as their siding color. However, now any color ranging from deep black or vibrant yellows, greens, and blues are becoming much more common.

Here is a list of siding colors to keep a lookout for in the oncoming months and years:

Dark Black

This color stands out as a differentiator and is found primarily on modern farmhouses. A white interior generally balances this color with large windows. It is also associated with unique and new cubic architecture.

Cypress

The soft green gives off a natural feeling while also including a pop of color. This color can often be found in many small towns or conservative areas.

Marigold

A house sure to remind people of summer, this siding color creates a warm and light atmosphere. Often found in southern coastal regions and used with a variety of different architectural styles.

Autumn Red

Siding this shade of red creates a feeling of nostalgia and correlation to an old, small-town barn. This color makes people feel comfortable and at home while also introducing a soothing atmosphere that is sure to make you want to read a book while swinging on the porch on a warm summer night.

Calming Blue

A universally popular color that leaves viewers feeling calm and at peace. This color often ranges from a light robin’s egg blue to a dark navy and every shade in between. No matter what the shade, the message is the same that serenity is found at a blue-sided home.
